Speaking

Speaking combined with images is an art that has caught my imagination.

The world in front of our eyes - its beauty and what animates it - has fascinated me for years. What's more, I have discovered that paying attention can transform a life. And what about the challenge of living by one's passion and wits? A photographer or not, how do you plot a course doing what you love? It's all wondrous and thought provoking.

I have always communicated what compels me by making and sharing images. Now I am adding my voice. Audiences have included business women, amateur and professional photographers, garden enthusiasts, sea glass collectors, artists, and those who love art. I am interested in exploring options with other groups as well. My talks are about such things as:

    • Learning to see (with or without a camera) and the ritual of paying attention
    • Witnessing beauty and how it compels us
    • Creating careers and lives ruled by passion and a sense of purpose
    • Exploring the phenomenon of sea glass and the link between form and essence
    • Focusing ourselves as well as our cameras when making photographs
    • Seeing (and photographing) gardens, and why gardens matter
  • For samples of images please see this web site or www.CeliaPearson.com.
